Attorney Paul J. Alvarado

Paul J. Alvarado graduated from The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1987. He graduated from Emory University in 1991 where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Spanish. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1994 and joined Langdale Vallotton, LLP law firm as an associate in the same year. He was a Partner with Langdale Vallotton, LLP from 2000 until 2007. Paul started his own law firm in 2007 and is the President of Paul J. Alvarado, P.C.

Paul is a member of Valdosta Bar Association and the State Bars of Georgia and Florida. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court, as well as all state courts for both Georgia and Florida. Paul has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General to represent the Georgia Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia on immigration matters. Paul is also an active member of the AILA (American Immigration Lawyer Association). Paul is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.

Paul’s active community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Lowndes County, the Ballard House Committee for the Valdosta/Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors for the Miss Valdosta Scholarship Association, and the Board of Directors for the Valdosta Alumni Association of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Paul is also a 2004 graduate of Leadership Lowndes. Paul served as Board Member for the Valdosta/ Lowndes County Zoning Board of Appeals (2007-2019).
